I'm genuinely thrilled to share that Byteys is now listed on the official InterSystems Partner Directory as a registered Implementation Partner.

For anyone who doesn't know my background β€” I spent several years inside InterSystems Australia, and many more years since delivering on InterSystems technology directly for clients. This partnership isn't a new relationship for me, it's a formal recognition of one that's already run deep for 20 years. Getting to make it official, under the Byteys name, means a lot.

Why this matters

The InterSystems Partner Directory exists so organisations looking for trusted, experienced help on the platform can find it. Being listed there means Byteys is now discoverable to hospitals, health services, and businesses across Australia (and beyond) who are running β€” or planning to run β€” on CachΓ©, IRIS, Ensemble, HealthShare, or TrakCare, and want to work with someone who genuinely knows the platform inside out.

What we bring to InterSystems clients

Byteys is a senior-only practice. No junior hand-offs, no learning on your dime β€” just direct, hands-on delivery from someone who's lived inside this ecosystem for a long time. Specifically, we specialise in:

InterSystems platform work:

  • CachΓ© ObjectScript development (expert level, 20+ years)

  • IRIS platform development and migration

  • Ensemble / HealthShare productions β€” business services, processes, and operations

  • TrakCare β€” both internal InterSystems build experience and client-side implementations

  • HL7 and healthcare integration

  • Live production support and stabilisation, working alongside InterSystems Support

  • Hospital go-live and commissioning (including Fiona Stanley Hospital)

Complementary capabilities:

  • Full-stack development β€” .NET/C#, Python, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Enterprise integration (REST/SOAP, messaging)

  • Databases β€” SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, CachΓ©/IRIS globals

  • DevOps and release engineering β€” Git, CI/CD, Docker, environment management

  • Architecture, code review, engineering standards, and quality engineering

How we plan to work with partners and clients

Being listed as a Partner isn't just a badge for us β€” it's a commitment to how we want to keep working:

  • Direct engagement. We work hands-on with clients, not layered behind account managers or offshore teams. When you talk to Byteys, you're talking to the person doing the work.

  • Depth over breadth. We'd rather be excellent at InterSystems technology and the systems around it than spread thin across every platform going.

  • Collaboration with InterSystems and other partners. Healthcare and enterprise integration projects are rarely solo efforts. We're looking forward to working alongside InterSystems' own teams and fellow partners on projects where combined expertise gets the best outcome for the client.

  • Modernisation, not just maintenance. A lot of our work involves bringing legacy CachΓ©/Ensemble systems forward β€” modernising them without disrupting the live systems hospitals and businesses depend on every day.

What's next

If you're running InterSystems technology and could use an experienced hand β€” whether it's a stuck integration, a legacy system that needs modernising, a go-live that needs steady support, or just a second opinion from someone who's been in the trenches β€” I'd love to talk.
